So, I got notification that my laptop is more than out of warranty. It’s out of service. No, it’s working, but that HP will no longer be doing updates, nor will they be able to do repairs if something happens. So, in that, I’ve been doing research on towers. I love the portability of a laptop, but I can easily get a tablet or Surface to use on the go, but a desktop has more functionality, and the ability to make upgrades and things.
So, I’ve been looking at my requirements to make a perfect computer:
minimum i7 processor. The laptop has an i7 and I won’t settle for anything less.
NOT an all-in-one
I don’t mind an integrated graphics card, but I don’t want an Intel. Just because it just can’t handle much.
I’d like a minimum of 16 gigs of RAM, but I’d love more than 32 ;)\
I want an SSD and an HD.
So, I built a “basic” one on HP, and while the price is SO out there, it does have what I want:
